Frequently asked questions.
What age do you work with?
I work with individuals 18 and older. If you are looking for a couples therapist or a children/teen therapist, I have referrals that I am happy to send your way.
Do you take insurance?
My practice is private pay.
I’m happy to provide the information you need to check your out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. If your plan offers reimbursement, I can also provide monthly superbills for you to submit. Reimbursement will depend on your specific benefits and whether your deductible has been met.
What are the benefits of private pay?
As a private pay provider, I’ve intentionally chosen to work outside the constraints of insurance so I can offer care that is thoughtful, flexible, and truly client-centered.
This approach allows me to use the most effective, research-supported therapies—not just those narrowly defined by insurance protocols. Without third-party oversight, I can tailor our work to your unique needs, goals, and pace.
It also means I can maintain a smaller caseload, pursue advanced training, and dedicate more time to preparing for your sessions. When helpful, I’m able to collaborate with other providers (with your permission) to ensure your care is comprehensive and well-coordinated.
And perhaps most importantly, your therapy stays just between us. Because I don’t bill insurance, there’s no requirement for a formal diagnosis on your medical record and no risk of personal information being shared with insurance companies.
Where will we meet?
I see clients in person in my office in Lafayette, CO, or virtually throughout the state of Colorado.
